For best performance, do not set any additional texture packs in your Minecraft Global Resources setting.

How to check:

1. From the main menu, select Settings (middle button):

2. Select Global Resources:

3. Make sure only the default Minecraft Texture Pack is Active. Deactivate all other texture packs.
